By Catharine Richert, CQ Staff
Viewings and memorial services for the late Rep. Stephanie Tubbs Jones will begin Aug. 29 in her home town of Cleveland, Ohio.
The first viewing will take place from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Aug. 29 and from 8 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Aug. 30 at Bethany Baptist Church.
That afternoon, a memorial service will be held at the Cleveland Public Auditorium from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m.
Delaying the services will allow Democratic officials to attend the party convention in Denver.
Washington, D.C. services are possible as well, said Nicole Williams, a Tubbs Jones spokeswoman.
The congresswoman’s college sorority, Delta Sigma Theta, is also planning to hold a memorial service, but the details have not been released.
Tubbs Jones died suddenly Aug. 20 after suffering a brain aneurysm while driving.
