McPOW, you've cheapened & exploited your military service like no other man before you.
Edited on Fri Aug-22-08 06:06 AM by Philosoraptor
Having been tortured for years as a prisoner of war has been the key to McPOW's political career, no man has ever exploited it or cheapened it like you have my friend, no man.

And no man has ever turned his back on American prisoners of war as glaringly or ashamedly as you have mr. mccain, to agree with bush the torturer about the treatment of prisoners of war and the tossing out of the Geneva Convention rules of humane treatment of p.o.w.'s, you've tossed your own honor out the window.

Now your surrogates use this meme, with your approval, as an all purpose excuse for everything, just like bush does with nine eleven and his masturbatory wars, they use the POW meme to excuse your cheating on your first wife, they've used it to excuse your innumberable number of mansions. This cancels out any bragging rights as a so called war hero, and has morphed you into a war profiteer, the one thing soldiers hate the most.

Whatever honor you garnered from your service is now moot since you've become the bush family's war whore.

Shame on you Mr. McPOW, shame on you forever, you can never make it right, you've gone too far. Your naked ambition for power and glory is the only thing you exist for now mccain, you've even turned your back on every prisoner of war that ever suffered for America, and you've spit in their faces, and you have dishonored your own military service in the process, an unforgivable sin, so DON'T call me your friend.

4. I sure hope some of the Obama people have located the other POWs
and have asked them how happy they were when John told them all those years ago...about the "cross in the dirt".. That wa surely a confort to his fellow POWs..to know that there was a Christian guard.. he DID tell them...right??right??

uh-oh..Solzhenitsyn hadn't written his biography back then..anyway.. I'd love to hear from them.,. It's odd that they have not been tag-teaming with Mccain..he was such a HEEEEro:)

8. You Were Reading My Mind
After listening to these latest POW defenses, I couldn't help how Gramps was cheapening his own brand...but even worse, that of all POWs by his cavilier use of his captivity as an excuse for anything and everything. He's also cheapened the service of the many others who had a fate just as bad or worse than he did. His exploitation of this situation is exploiting the suffering of many others who have had rough lives and didn't have a sugar mama or big political career. It's diminishing the valor of the others who are seeing this sad episode in our history and their lives to his political and financial gain.

It is shameful...especially in light of how Graps has turned his back on his fellow veterans by voting against the Webb ammendment and cheerling a war that is worse than Nam in its horrors and damage to this country's reputation and national security.

Cheers...

17. Do many former POWs
sell and sell and sell their story for some fleeting glory or their endlesss ego trip or some trophy job? Or hide behind it whenever a breeze starts to blow their way?

I don't think so.

20. I feel sorry for the POWs who have lined up behind McCain (like Bud Day)
It makes them look so foolish. Bud Day, a "Misty" F-100 Fast-FAC when he was shot down in Route Pack 1, was a hero of mine until I read of his blind loyalty to John McCain.

George Everett "Bud" Day (born February 24, 1925) is a retired U.S. Air Force Colonel and Command Pilot who served during the Vietnam War. He is often cited as being the most decorated U.S. service member since General Douglas MacArthur, having received some seventy decorations, a majority for actions in combat. Day is a recipient of the Medal of Honor.

22. Are there US POW's now in Iraq?
Or is this a national security issue and we can't find out?

Hit Mccain where it will count with ads such as:

"Are US prisoners of war in Iraq and Afghanistan being tortured now, because of the US policy to torture prisoners? Why won't John McCain tell us the status of US prisoners and what is he doing to help them?

John McCain should be the US voice in the senate to help US prisoners, but instead he supports continued torture of people held in US custody, and possibly is involved in hiding their plight."

21. Thank you, Philosoraptor
I was never in the military, but even I know that McPOW is completely exploiting his time in the Hanoi Hilton, and using it to excuse anything and everything that people question him about. It's absolutely disgusting.
