this 'why isn't obama farther ahead' talking point has more to do with fucked up polling than fucked up voters.

5. What's that? Take all the punches hoping his opponent
hurts his fist. Why does this remind me of 2004 and all the Kerry supporters?

7. I'm sure if Hillary was the nominee she'd be plenty negative....
:sarcasm:

Maybe when Obama actually gets the VP business out of the way and the convention is over he can turn his full attention to blasting McCain.

His ads in selected states are plenty combative. I get the feeling that Obama is going to hammer McCain more often and heavier the closer we get to November....McCain has been negative for so long and spent soooo much money that at the end, people are going to have McCain-negative-exhaustion....and they will be deluged with the TRUTH about McCain right at the end. When most people will actually pay attention.

All the McCain/MSM bullshit makes me mad too, but Obama hasn't made it this far by running "nice" campaigns against amateurs.

They'd howl how disappointed they were that he couldn't run on top of water. :eyes: :puke:

4. He'd better go negative, and soon.
I understand and respect his principled stand and his genuine strength of character. But this world cares nothing about those qualities, despite any lip service to the contrary. Unfortunately, we are not as evolved a species as we would like to imagine ourselves, and we mustn't let ourselves be fooled into bringing a knife to a gunfight.

Obama had better bring this fight to the mat, starting right now and not letting up until the polls are closed on election day.

8. I just saw an article in Newsweek that says Obama is going negative
I'm arguing politics on another (music) website and was googling the accusation that Obama is negative in swing states and found this:

10. would you like to read the RW drivel I was trying to respond to?
"Oh... there's plenty of Obama's own campaign mud slinging on our stations in NW OH, already.

Funny, though, isn't it, how someone's perception of truthful campaigning appears to be negative to others.

I have yet to see one ad from the McCain's camp that isn't a 100% accurate portrayal of Obama. I see this as honest, not negative.

In my opinion, Obama is more concerned in being a celebrity and is no way ready to lead the country. I certainly hope he choses Joe Biden as his VP, so if he wins, at least the country will have one person in the white house with some common sense and the ability to make important decisions."

In other words ...McCains negative ads are all truthful, but Obama's are all just mud-slinging. :eyes:

11. If he wants to win...
... he'd better start hitting back hard, and soon.

When some says you are a @$%^$, and you don't refute it vigorously, most people assume you are a @$%^$. It's simple human nature.

13. If Obama won't go negative, he won't win.
That may be sad, but it is true. Negative ads are clobbering him. He has to fight back.
