13. Very Sad!
She will be so missed. I am grateful for her and her family that she passed as she did though...with no warning and no pain and no fear. i believe if most of us could choose out way of passing, it would be as this. May she rest in peace.

15. From the descriptions of her condition
this was probably the best outcome. RIP Ms Tubbs Jones, and my thoughts go out to the family. I'm glad that you didn't have to go through this for a long period of time.

17. And on a side note
the local NBC affiliate just brought on STEVE LATOURETTE to share his memories of Stephanie Tubbs-Jones.

err, huh, what?

They couldn't bring on Dennis Kucinich or another area Democrat who worked with her????

Somehow as I'm trying to a handle on this happening I didn't need to see one of the most reactionary Congress people in NE Ohio share his "memories" of what "a fighter she was."

Maybe he was sincere and all that, but it just felt really strange.

22. R.I.P.!! Wouldn't it be classy if Hillary were to give all of her delegates to Ms. Tubbs Jones...
Edited on Wed Aug-20-08 06:29 PM by calipendence
in the "party vote" she's getting to have next week for the nomination? THAT in my book, would help the party say goodbye to Stephanie Tubbs Jones in an honorable way AND do tons to help heal the rifts in the party! It would seem to be a good thing that Hillary could do to honor one of her biggest supporters in the campaign earlier.

That would be a PVR moment for me!

Again, Rest in Peace Ms. Tubbs-Jones. A real honorable person of service to our party and our country!

23. I lit a candle for her earlier when there were conflicting reports
about her condition, hoping that she would be okay. It's still lit and I'll be thinking about her family, friends, and those of us in the dem party who admired and respected her.
