Hewitt: Romney might be "over-qualified'' for presidency
Hewitt: Romney might be "over-qualified'' for presidency
Friday, March 2, 2007

Hugh Hewitt's long-awaited new book on Mitt Romney is finally out. To no one's surprise, it paints a largely adoring portrait of the former Massachusetts governor. Hewitt, a popular conservative commentator and radio host, has long been kind to Romney's candidacy, even though he's bristled at such suggestions.

The book, "A Mormon in the White House?" (Regnery Press) largely dispatches with that pretense -- Hewitt acknowledges that he would pull the lever for Romney if the primary were held today. "I have never met a more intellectually gifted, curious, good humored, broadly read, and energetic official than Mitt Romney," he writes in the introduction. Hewitt also concludes that "Mitt Romney is qualified to be president. Perhaps even over-qualified."

  rest of article

1. overly coiffed is more like it
trying to channel ronald reagan's hair back from the dead with all that greasy kid stuff

and more to the point, the hair seems to be overcompensating for a vast cavern beneath it...

is that what they call an empty hair-do?

3.  And, of course , Hewitt the intellectual is uniquely
qualified to judge such issues. One thing I know from the paucitiy of public record on Romney is that his overwhelming arrogance makes cheney look like a ragpicker by comparison. We do not need another such in the w.h.

4. Myth Romney is Very, Very Dangerous
Like Bush, he's a sociopathic liar. But he's 20x smarter tna Bush.

If he gets elected, he could make Bush look like a lightweight. Beware.

6. Here's a talking point. The Republican Party is satanic, that's why they are coalescing around

Romney. The three upside down stars on their elephant denotes the number 666, which is not something that many "Christian Conservatives" know. So, then ask the Christians who are weary of Romney, if they trust a 666 party that is promoting a Mormon.

Just to get them to thinking.

9. I'd prefer to have Multiple Choice Mitt nominated
over Dame Rudy or Weathervane McCain.

Mitt wouldn't win MA, and has plenty of baggage that people won't find appealing.
