That would be delicious. Lieberman has demonstrated himself to be such an eel that campaigning against him would be easy. Just keep talking about integrity and loyalty!

Yeah. I wondered if it was an editorial, or an edict. nt

2. If Lieberman helps McCain get some Indies and Dems (and I don't know
that he does), it may not be the mistake we all assume. Just because we fucking hate him doesn't mean the rest of America does, and McSame gets to look all bipartisan, while we don't.

4. I don't think he did Gore any good. Doubt he'd help McCain either. nt

6. But the thing is, it will drive away conservatives in droves
I know on the surface it looks like all hugs and kisses with the right-wingers and Lieberman as a result of his strong war hawk stance. But they all know the real story beyond that, that he is on the liberal side of most issues, and they loath him for it. If Lieberman were ever to truly jump ship and join the GOP, he's be the RINO King.

So I sincerely hope McCain picks him, as it will destroy the base.

7. I don't think his base will go anywhere. I think they may not like it, but they'll
suck it up.

3. They have been joined at the hip anyway
would not be the least surprised. I hope he goes for it - that may well be the ugliest ticket in history.

5. Well TraitorJoementum Will Bring All Of Us Over...Not!!
The Chicken Noodle Spinner earlier was giddy that TraitorJoementum will bring over the "Jewish vote". Nice projection, but reality says different. This Jew got his fill of TraitorJoementum during the 2000 elections and I know many others who have followed in recent years. He may swing a few nursing homes in Broward County and the Bronx, the Jews who would be swung by him already have been voting repugnicans...we call them neo-cons. A vast majority of American Jews (70%) supported John Kerry in '04 and I expect the same or higher percentage this time. So who does TraitorJoementum bring to the party?

Tony Perkins has already promised to make things messy for any "pro-choice" veep nominee...and he and the rest of his fundie bretheren sure aren't ready for a Catholic yet a Jew.
