Interview with Stephen Spoonamore (Voting Machine Fraud)
Edited on Tue Aug-19-08 04:22 PM by Phred42
Give a rip about your vote.....Democracy?

This guy is a member of the GOP and a life long republican but he cares more about Democracy than winning at any cost. He worked on the Gulliani and Bloomberg campaigns. His expertise is in electronic tabulation machines - like ATM's and audits them for banks. Watch this video interview in 8 parts.

7. We've got to be prepared for a McBush steal, at the least, psychologically, so that
it doesn't demoralize us, like 2004 did (and, ultimately, like 2006 has done as well). (The new Democratic Congress now with an 8% approval rating--worse than Bush's! Good God!)

VERY BAD, RIGHTWING, BUSHITE CORPORATIONS--Diebold (now called Premier), ES&S and Sequoia--have the capability--the EASY capability--to outright steal the 2008 election. And if they do, there is nothing we will be able to do about it, in the immediate future--for the simple reason that our Democratic Party leadership has been COMPLICIT in, and continues to be complicit in, promoting and supporting these godawful electronic voting systems, run on 'TRADE SECRET,' PROPRIETARY programming code, with virtually no audit/recount controls. We have lost the right to see our votes counted in PUBLIC VIEW. We have no right to review the 'TRADE SECRET' code by which all of our votes are tabulated. Even states with a paper ballot backup--and some don't even have that--are doing virtually NO AUDIT, to check whether or not the paper ballots stack up with the electronic totals. Some states have NO ballot. Some states have a ballot but do NO audit. Some states have a ballot and do a miserable stinking 1% audit (entirely inadequate in a 'TRADE SECRET' system).*

Whether or not they will steal it, or do something a bit more clever (like let Obama win, but seriously shave his mandate, and give him a difficult 'Blue Dog' Congress)--and, like most other people, I don't know what the fuckers will do--we must be prepared for an outright steal, among other things, by vowing to REFORM THIS ELECTION SYSTEM, however we can (and I think state/local venues are the best hope), after November, and keep at it, with a massive national citizen movement, until we get it done; and we must also realize that, whether Obama wins or not, the system is wide open to election theft on into the future. We MUST change this. We MUST!

---------

*(Some experts say that a 10% audit is the minimum needed to detect electronic fraud. Venezuela has an OPEN SOURCE CODE system--no 'TRADE SECRET' code; anyone may review the code by which the votes are tabulated--and they audit a whopping 55% of the votes, as a check on machine fraud. The transparency of their elections puts our own to shame! We are not even close to doing the MINIMUM audit to detect fraud. Wrap you brain around that one! And our Democratic Party HAS DONE NOTHING ABOUT IT! NOTHING! So, if they use this EASY fraud capability against Obama in November, we, the people, are once again, on our own. No Democratic office holder will get near it. Guess why.)

11. IF the Dems allow another one to be stolen - any future
elections will be irrelevant.

also- I will be completely DONE with the Dems. They have had plenty of time to do something about this and have done nothing

It's a dangerousd situation for Democracy andthe Dems have missed the boat - again. We will be Lucky to get throught it

16. I think we have to realize that there is the party leadership, and there is the party
itself--us, its members. By 'party leadership,' I'm thinking specifically of public office holders in Congress, not Howard Dean, whom I think is doing the best he can in very, very difficult circumstances (for instance, a Diebold/ES&S-selected Congress). You might say, Why isn't he screaming and yelling about this? It is not so simple. We. have. suffered. a. fascist. coup. One of its main methods of control is Diebold/ES&S vote 'counting.' That means that a good many members of Congress were NOT elected, and all of them are beholden to Diebold/ES&S for their power. But it means more than this--it means that spying, blackmail and threats are rampant throughout our political establishment. No one is safe. What did Dean do? He restructured the primaries, with more caucuses (NOT COUNTED BY DIEBOLD & BRETHREN) so that an insurgent candidate would have a chance, and he has concentrated on building up grass roots citizen power--and both of these things helped to make the Obama nomination possible.

The "good guys" are literally walking through a minefield, is what I'm saying. So I do NOT urge abandoning the Democratic Party, no matter what happens. It is a quixotic threat, in any case. Our party leaders (Congress, and other public office holders) abandoned US, in Oct 02, when they passed the e-voting bill (in the same month as the Iraq War Resolution). They want people like you to give up, and let them run the party as a sham operation. We must instead TAKE OVER the Democratic Party, and not give up until we fully succeed. It is the only vehicle for taking the White House (and also Congress). We do not have an alternative. And neither disaffected Democrats, nor a fractured political scene, is going to helpful, if the worst happens. We need to pull together, take over the party and reform the election system (most easily done in the state/local jurisdictions, in my opinion).

You've got to get past disappointment, disillusionment and disgust--and think strategically. Strategy must be based on reality--upon the truth of our situation, which is very, very bad--but, at the same time, you can't let the truth demoralize you or blind you to the best strategies. You may want to vomit being in the same political party with leaders who fucked us over with e-voting. But it is NOT their party. They are usurpers, warmongers and fascists. The Democratic Party is the only vehicle the American people have for taking our country back. You can't create a new national political overnight. You have to work with what is. And I think that's what Dean is doing, and I agree with him. I basically trust the man. If he is not screaming and yelling about this fraudulent election system, then he has a very good reason for his silence. I think he's one of the few people in our political establishment who does have a good reason.

DON'T LEAVE THE PARTY! TAKE IT OVER!
