1. Kicked for Joe Biden. He is strong on foreign policy.

3. Somebody the other day (was it you?)
floated the idea of Schweitzer in 2016! I love that idea.

He's (with Jag?) speaking at the convention so more of America will get to know him, and he'll have eight years to make his mark.

OR -- If Biden gets it, I've seen suggestions that because of his age, maybe he'd only do four years as VP (this is a DU idea - nothing from the Biden camp). Then bring in Schweitzer for the last four, and from there it's natural he'd be our next candidate.

The problem is, I honestly don't think that Schweitzer wants to go to Washington.

I love the guy!!!

4. I don't think he wants to go, either.....BUT
his stated goal is to "change the world". What better way to do that right now than as VP.

I'd like to see him as VP now because I like him and I think he'd do a great job. However, I want him on the ticket even more because he'd do the most to help with Obama's only real soft spot...rural voters. I think he'd do more to assure a win in November than anybody else.

9. He was my first pick until he kind of fell off the radar and I realized that
Obama wasn't listening to me. He's perfect in every way.

8. Speaking at the convention? I'll have to watch it that night.
Schweitzer represents the future of the party and anybody who doesn't realize it (Al From, are you listening?) needs to be booted out of the way.

He's said many times that he has the job he wants and has a pathological hatred of Washington, D.C. However, we'll see how he feels when he's out of office in Montana.

He's not perfect, but he knows how to do one thing: get elected in a GOP state on an unabashedly progressive platform.

He's also made them like it in practice, but they always do once they've been dragged kicking and screaming into accepting it.

7. Went with "someone else"
Obama is too conservative as it is. There's not a single liberal in this group.

13. Hillary First, Then Biden.
Evan Bayh: He'd be ok.
Joe Biden: I'd LOVE him to be the nominee
Michael Bloomberg: Fuck no. Why's he even being considered?
Hillary Clinton: My first pick and who I voted for in the poll. Still no one better.
Tom Daschle: Uhhhhhhhhhhhhh no.
Chris Dodd: Would suck. I love the guy, but he's not VP material.
Chuck Hagel: He's like, ya know, a republican and stuff. No way.
Tim Kaine: I hope not. Little experience and I personally don't like him very much. Just somethin about him.

Sam Nunn: Who?
Jack Reed: Would bring nothing to the ticket.
Ed Rendell: Wouldn't be bad, but not sure how strategic he is.
Bill Richardson: Oh god please no. He totally sucks. By far the biggest failure in the Primary.
Kathleen Sebelius: Would be a great pick. I think she could be president someday.
Jim Webb: Fuck no. The masses likely wouldn't take to him, he lacks experience and tact, and doesn't have a broad enough sense of politics other than being anti-war.
