GOP to run 'war room' during DNC

Republicans are determined not to be left out during the DNC.

Just a few blocks from the Pepsi Center in downtown Denver, the main site for the Democratic National Convention, national GOP and McCain campaign strategists will occupy a "war room" to get their message out.

The location still hasn't been disclosed, but party officials said the rented office will include separate rooms for radio and TV interviews as well as a team that will work to counter the DNC speeches and activities.

Each day during the DNC, GOP leaders will bring in national party celebrities such as Mitt Romney, who easily won the Colorado presidential caucus in February before dropping out of the race, to address the media, said former Gov. Bill Owens.

"The Republican National Committee will maintain a strong presence at the Democrat convention to ensure Barack Obama's comments are held to account," said RNC spokesman Bill Riggs. "And we will continue to present John McCain's vision for the future and record of strong leadership that puts country first."

10. We already know McCain's vision of the future

Just read any history of the Spanish Inquisition (or watch the Mel Brooks
parody of it in "history of the World, Part I--pretty much the same).

One of the complaints heard (but rarely reported in the MSM) from Republicans
close to the McCain campaign is that McCain is such an empty shell that his
views are pretty much those of the last adviser he talked to before going to
bed the night before.
