Damn Do I Wish I Could Report a Right Wing Teacher

but it's not in my state, nor am I the parent. The guy is a religious right wing nut proselytizing in a public school up-state Maine. He also teaches kids about politics in his history class.... Supposedly he moves from state to state, and unfortunately got to teach my niece's class.

he's seriously a freak and should be fired. He literally called my niece's grandmother a nazi for having a small German flag in her curio....

If I saw this pathetic man, I'd give him something to seriously think about for days.....

Supposedly the school she attends is full of them....

3. I can tell you some horror stories about how things were 50+ years ago.

In my grade school, we were required to memorize Bible verses. The "Pledge" was de rigeur daily as were morning prayers (this was in Public school which academically was actually quite good.)

When the "in God" phrase was added to the phrase in 1954 I rebelled by refusing to stand and recite it. That didn't do a hell of a lot for my popularity. But I survived that and as a senior in HS, had a teacher who was a raging anti-semitic nutball...he actually forced our class to read "Protocols of the Elders of Zion" and never did grok to the fact that my Jewish friends were being offended and to my everlasting shame, I didn't see that nearly as clearly as I should have. (Very long story there)
