12. Well, that's nice.
What a lovely smear. Or maybe it's just a shitstain--I can't really tell.

Consider looking at who's judging others and their motivations here.

13. The insult isn't necessary.
Statistically, I read the data as very insignificant.

I wish you'd made that point, and stopped there.

19. It's longer than the list the government has put out...
The government of course is lying. And there are probably more than just these people. There are probably thousands. Many of these people were initially diagnosed with Alzheimer's which many have wondered about in terms of it actually being a variant of CJD. No one knows what causes Alzheimer's. But they do know what causes CJD. And wise people don't eat beef anymore. Not ground beef anyway unless the butcher has ground it. And even then, many simply have decided to avoid beef altogether.

Why would the government lie? Ask Oprah Winfrey. She was sued by the cattlemen some years ago. For suggesting there was something wrong with beef. Why, beef is as American as apple pie. Except apple pie is not linked with any disease. Beef is.

I didn't realize this many cases had actually been diagnosed in this country. I wonder why the medical community has not spoken out.

I will never eat beef again. You might as well get a gun and play russian roulette. You probably have better odds with the gun than with beef. I have to question even the safety of milk. I had read about a year ago that most have begun to question the safety of collagen. I would rather have wrinkles than CJD. The list of beef products and byproducts is quite extensive. And the byproducts may be more dangerous than beef itself. Particularly the collagen. And bone meal. This really is scary. I think there have only been a couple of people diagnosed with CJD according to the government. This is not a couple of people.

Vegans by the way enjoy better health than the rest of us. It would be interesting to know how many vegans have been diagnosed with Alzheimer's.

10. I can identify with what you're trying to say,BUT, the message is more
powerful if you limit it to industrial/commercially raised meat at first. Because there are going to be people who eat meat no matter what. That's their right and their choice. I think a far better option is to educate and have those of us that are omnivorous eat a whole lot less meat and the meat that is consumed should be organicly and humanely raised which also happens to make it a healthier part of the diet. And besides, for a sustainable organic farm you need animal manure. Green manure/compost is the workhorse, but you must have the microorganisms that only a good pile of shit will give you for a truly healthy soil.

14. Sorry, every once in a while I just gotta have a hamburger...
I've quit smoking, quit drinking and quit drugs. Just can't stop eating red meat. We have cut down on it considerably. More chicken and more fish these days, but won't be giving up beef altogether anytime soon.

16. That lists Deaths by Creutzfeldt-Jakob Disease which you can't get from Beef.
The one you get from cows is called "new variant Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease". CJD is completely different than nvCJD and trying to convince people into thinking those people died from beef is dishonest.

20. Reaslistically, there can't be a vCJD database.
There's no obligation to report, and there's certainly no obligation to test for it. Labs sure as heck don't want to deal with prion-related deaths if they don't have to.

We just can't know.
