So spaketh Andrea Mitchell on MSNBC while speaking with Doris Kearns Goodwin about tonight's upcoming GodFest. Not bad. Can I book these guys and charge that much, too? I'll do a smaller event. In my living room. I can get .... I dunno ...... 20 people in there. That's up clkose and personal. What might *that* ticket be worth?

or he would be rotting in an Israeli prison.

27. I like Pizza. But I wouldn't expect Pizza Hut to charge me $1,0000
for the container. Warren loses any credibility that he had on this one.

14. Did she say where the money was going? Warren gives away a substantial
portion of his personal salary and I suspect that if he "charged" $1,000 a seat tonight it was with the intention of raising funds for a good cause. I am not a Rick Warren fan, I just am not going to jump on the bus to criticize the man because he is a conservative Christian.

23. He doesn't need to show up on Sunday and give services because...
he made millions from his book, but he does. You may not like the guy or his book but not many people who make millions still show up and do their job for free.

26. And because of this he exerts an enormous amount of influence...
He proved that by getting McCain and Obama to come to his christianity forum. Money and power...that's what he's got.

24. Religion Incorporated is a good gig
You can keep charging regularly, and you never have to deliver a product. A little bit of overhead for showmanship, and the rest is pure profit.
