Bear attacks inside Anchorage have people on edge
http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20080816/ap_on_re_us/bear_maulings

Catch the Freeper's comments at the end of the article:

"Mike Vogel, a 51-year-old insurance agent, was stomped by a moose in 2003 on a popular city trail. A year later, a moose charged at him near the same location, so the 14-year resident of Anchorage shot and killed it.

"We need to kill some of these bears and we need to kill some of these moose," he said.

Vogel accuses Fish and Game of catering to "bunny huggers."

"I think the pecking order needs to be re-established with humans on top," he said. "What other city in the world has pernicious wildlife running around in its city parks?""

Bunny huggers?

1. He could maybe move?
I would love to see a moose stomp the peckerhead.

There's a video for YouTube.

4. People like Vogel crack me up.
If you didn't want to be around bears and moose, WHY DID YOU MOVE TO ALASKA!! His problem is the animals are smarter then him, that's why he has problems with them.

6. I felt a little sympathy for him after the part about the moose.
But once he got to the bunnies, I realized that I'd rather hug a bunny than save his ass from the moose.

15. Exactly what I thought!
People move there to get away from the rest of us and then get pissed when the natural inhabitants go into "their" territory. ignorant, ignorant... Oh, and the thought of idiots like him running around with guns will keep most of us away from AK.

10. Was Vogel a transplant to Alaska?
Travelers and natives to Alaska know who the "original" habitants are in this area, and generally respect the animals' presence. He sounds like he is clueless of that. Maybe he'd better head back to the lower 48.
