Imagine if Russia destroyed Georgia's infrastructure
And then sent in it's corporations to do the rebuilding (and make a profit while doing so), any guesses as to what Bush's response will be?

1. I had a freeper tell me that we didn't destroy Iraq's infrastructure...
that the insurgents did it.

I asked him if he remembered "Shock and Awe" and the thousands of bombs that we dropped. He said our bombs did nothing to the infrastructure.

He was complaining that we were paying to rebuild Iraq and I reminded him that we destroyed it.

3. And You Don't Think They've Already Done That?
Who do you think built the infrastructure in the first place? The Soviets built most of what Georgia "inherited" when they became independent in 1991. Ya don't think they knew where all the key points were?

That said, I get your point and let's see how things transpire here. The one thing we don't see is what corporates are under the surface. This isn't the Soviet Union, but a new Russia based on a capitalist model that includes many of our favorite multi-national corporations who we've seen time and time again put profit ahead of nationality and surely have a bunch of influence in Pootieville.
