2. He was pretty much an ass.
I mean, he dropped his medal on the mat - you have to assume he didn't want it anyway.

3. Contrast what this idiot did to what Dara Torres did and it's easy
to see who is a true Olympian hero. He deserved to be stripped of his medal.

7. Screw the Olympics
This guy spends all his life to compete for the Gold Medal and he gets screwed over. At least he thought so. Fuck all the high and mighty people who sit on their high horses judging him for having emotions.

10. It was a hissy fit, not "emotions"
Study the tape.

8. What's more unsportsmanlike? The judging is highly suspect at these games
and has been at others.

I'm wondering why folks somehow think it is unsportsmanlike to protest (it does not happen very often, and nine times out of ten when it does, there is a valid reason) fixed scores and the very unsportsmanlike conduct of the judges.

These judges are not being held accountable.

And remember in 1968 who had their medals stripped for holding up their fists....

So who's being unsportsmanlike? The IOC who's allowed China to put prepubescent girls into Gymnastics and unknowns into swimming (who then medal...) or athletes who will not go quietly into that good night....

Bravo for the Swedish wrestler. Stand up. Be proud and stop accepting authority blindly.

I think he teaches folks a better lesson than those who just go along to get along.

13. "violating the spirit of fair play"
That's pretty rich considering what some of these Olympic judges are getting away with.

9. Eh, it was pretty clear that he didn't want it anyway.
I can understand being angry at the judging and filing protests or making statements to the press about it but throwing the medal on the ground right after the ceremony is a childish response.
