Bush Says "Support the Troops" While He Sends them to War Unarmored - Bush History, 8/16
President Bush says on this date, "There is nothing complicated about supporting our troops". Yet his administration sends them to war without body armor or armored vehicles. One father of a dead soldier said, "he would have been better off in a Toyota". Also on this date the Army reports the highest soldier suicide rate in 26 years.
