California's DNC delegates may be prohibited from attending convention
Edited on Fri Aug-15-08 08:54 PM by Newsjock
Story on KPIX TV now; looking for a link.

Because of the state budget crisis, GOP lawmakers may be about to force a resolution/order to prohibit all legislative travel, which they say will prohibit any Democratic lawmakers (whom they blame for the budget impasse) from attending the convention. In response, the Democrats say that if this happens, they certainly won't pass a budget in time to allow any Republicans to attend their convention after that.

On edit: There's a video-only report available now:

1. They arent on state business as delegates, they are private citizens
If they want to pay for their own travel expenses, what business is it to Arnold?

I don't believe the state of California would pay any of the cost of attending a political party convention for any official.
