McCain isn't McBush, he's McReagan
He's become the doddering, confused old fool led around by his handlers and fed lines to repeat. Direct questions confuse him. There's nothing there behind the smile and the manufactured image, which is maintained only with the collusion of the press.

His opponent is brilliant, information hungry, with a remarkable memory and fine command of the language. All of which, horrifyingly, is offensive to a lot of voters.

Let's hope the outcome this time differs from 1980.

3. Minus the semi-witty folksy comebacks and the charm.

Plus a temper.

But don't even think of connecting him to Saint Ronnie. The idiots who never understood just what Ronnie stood for but thought him the greatest thing since sliced bread will love it.

4. And minus the hair (dyed or otherwise)
Never underesimate the power of that hair in defusing the age issue for ol'St. Ron.

5. The "charm" always grated on me
I don't think McCain's handlers will need my suggestion to invoke the late saint.

6. Just don't let McCrabby paint himself into that comparison; we need
to continue to compare him to *. Reagan is a saint to many, *, not so much, or should I say, at all.

7. I hear you
I keep thinking that watching McCain stumble and bumble, hem and haw, saying and doing the most stupid things, this all reminds me of Reagan circa 1984. I honestly think that Reagans Alzheimer's started kicking in during his first term and really started effecting him from 1984 on. McCain has the same sort of vibe coming off of him, that he's slipping into some sort of demented senility, and that like Reagan he'll be propped up and a figurehead of a leader. The perfect puppet, he'll forget all the illegal shit he and his buddies have done, vanished into an aging and increasingly faulty mind.

11. So if I'm right ... Wait, of course I am!
Of course I think I am.

If so, instead of avoiding the comparison and hoping that the Evil Guys won't think of it, which of course they will, can't we be like Rove and attack McCain based on that supposed strong point? Perhaps emphasize the comparison to the obviously senile Reagan at the end of his public life.
