Did Cindy know McCain was married with 3 kids when she began porking him?
Or did McCain lie to her about it? Has anyone ever had the guts to ask her about this?

Or are these kinds of questions only reserved for Edwards and other Dems?

1. She probably knew.
McInsain and all his gorey details were all over the news when he got back from his POW tour. She had to be really, really stupid not to have known.

3. Of COURSE she knew.. He was a damned WAR HERO
She was a cutesy-pie "courtesan" frequenting "parties", attended by the likes of mccain...He has charisma, and she was young, and he was a player....so.... well we know the rest..

a really cute, and RICH 25 year old vs a handicapped wife and 3 kids who did not even know him??

an easy choice for a cad to make

6. "Cad" - what a *great* word to use for mccain!
That short little word perfectly sums up mccain's attitude toward women, and other people in general. In addition to being an angry little jerk, he is indeed a cad.

4. Compare and contrast Cindy McCain and Edwards' girlfriend.
Find a married man with three kids.

Go to bed with him.

See if you can take him away from his wife.

17. To recap ... he meets a 40 year old single yoga instructor in a bar 2 years ago.
He carries on a torrid affair, including having her fly to North Carolina and stay in a hotel, so they could play. He needed an excuse to have her around, and he needed her travel and expenses covered by some financial entity other than his and Elizabeth's joint checking account.

So, he hires her to make videos for the campaign. She travels with him, the adoring sycophant, the grist of the egocentric politician's mill. They have a torrid affair. Elizabeth begins to smell a rat, a very pretty, well coiffed rat named John. He confesses to a lesser offense, lies about almost everything, and claims it is over.

Unknown to Elizabeth, John starts taking care of Hunter through other organizations and his lawyer buddy. Hunter sees her window of opportunity closing, plans to get pregnant, and does in May of 2007. Now she has him. Now she has assured herself and her child a money stream that is far greater than anything she could have ever come close to producing or expecting.

I suspect she is quite the schemer.

24. Unlike you, I go into threads that have topics I WANT to talk about.
I never go into threads to say "STOP TALKING ABOUT THIS!"

The Admins told us to use HIDE THREADS to make threads go away that we just could not stand to see. Unlike you, I considered this piece of information and thought "that makes a lot of sense." So I put tons of threads on Hide Thread, every day. Why? Because I don't give a damn what others are talking about in threads I'm not reading. I exercise my ability to take five seconds to Hide Threads whose titles annoy me or distract me while I read other threads.

The saddest person on this board is the one who spends all his or her time telling others to stop talking about whatever it is they're talking about.

7. She Was A Trophy, He Was A Meal Ticket
I don't know how the pamper little girl of a multi-millionaire gets to be called a gold-digger (since it was her daddy's money), but Gramps, the war hero, was her meal ticket to the limelights. You don't get on TV marrying a realtor...but a "war hero"...he was a easy ride to a high profile political life...and all the perks that come with it. Also, Gramps was a hedge to protect the family's liquor distributorship as nothing beats having a Congresscritter or Senator on your side in case the government starts snooping into your business dealings or accuse you of targeting your product to young kids or preventing someone else from coming in and messing up a nice little monopoly.

The more you look at these people, the more you see how they used each other over the years...especially when the wife got nailed for scamming public funds to fuel a barbituate habit. Had she not been a Senator's wife, she'd be not serving at a tea party, but at the grey bar hotel.

Cheers...

9. I think he and his wife were separated,

perhaps in the process of divorcing. A lot of vets' marriages didn't survive after they came home and I think the POWs had even more divorces than other vets, logically enough.

John Edwards has no such excuse and was not separated from Elizabeth so I don't think this is a good time to be throwing stones at the McCains, especially considering Elizabeth's cancer.

If you can't someone needs to ask McCain and his wife about the time line of their affair.

12. I heard people discussing it on tv this weekend, from a distance. They said when he came back,
he absolutely distanced from her immediately, and bought her a house on the beach in Florida, and fixed it so there was a rope she could use to pull herself along to go out to the beach. Apparently she was in a wheelchair.

They said that Ross Perot and his wife were very angry at the way McCain was behaving. Perot also paid for Mrs. McCain's medical bills and hospital bills after her wreck, and his wife looked over her, and acted as a guardian of sorts.

The Perots had a very, VERY low view of what McCain did. He immediately pitched into rounds of party time, and took off as soon as he got a good look at his wife, and met Cindy in Hawaii.

Apparently it wasn't a mutual situation which both people understood, according to the way the conversation ,which I heard on a cable news station, either MSNBC, or CNN.

11. The divorce rate among POWs was VERY high. Just as it was after WWII...
because in many cases, people were away from home for 3 or 4 years straight. People move on. Become independent.

14. The divorce rate among apprentice Die Makers was very high where I worked too
12 hours a day in the plant and then another 4 hours a day sitting in a classroom wasn't very conducive to family life.

Its still no excuse just like McCains isn't.

When he was married he took a vow that went something like this:

"To have and to hold, from this day forward, for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness or in health, to love and to cherish 'till death do us part."

I guess those vows didn't mean much to McCain?

Don

didn't go for years without seeing their spouses.

13. think again. as usual, McCain LIED about the details of his tawdry affair:
In his 2002 memoir, "Worth the Fighting For," McCain wrote that he had separated from Carol before he began dating Hensley.

"I spent as much time with Cindy in Washington and Arizona as our jobs would allow," McCain wrote. "I was separated from Carol, but our divorce would not become final until February of 1980."

An examination of court documents tells a different story. McCain did not sue his wife for divorce until Feb. 19, 1980, and he wrote in his court petition that he and his wife had "cohabited" until Jan. 7 of that year -- or for the first nine months of his relationship with Hensley.

http://www.latimes.com/news/nationworld/nation/la-na-divorce11-2008jul11,0,6546861.story

they met in April, 1979. it's obvious they were carrying on a LONG time before the separation

he also LIED about when the divorce was finalized...it was April, not February, and he married the trollop five weeks later

he can't even tell the truth about his marriages......

all the details are in this link

he also started having liasons almost from the moment he returned from Vietnam....this is selfadmitted

At least for the time being Edwards is still with his wife.

Mcbush is with his mistress/wife. She was clearly a step up for him toward his political aspirations. :dilemma:

Edited on Fri Aug-15-08 08:53 AM by norepubsin08
being a fucking POW is no excuse for having an affair...either get the god damn divorce or stay in the marriage. Part of the Democratic Party's problem is that we're coddling this fucking asshole. We need to rip into him like a jackal with out any morals and tear his ass to shreds. It doesn't matter how many bodies we produce as collateral damage just so long as there is a win. After the campaign is over, we can worry about being solicitous of the poor fragile McCain and his band of cry babies!
