What the fuck is bushco playing at.....
US and Poland sign defence deal

The US says the system will protect itself and Europe against long range missile attacks by "rogue states".

Correspondents say the deal is expected to heighten tension between the US and Russia, already strained over Georgia.

Moscow has said the project will upset the military balance in Europe and has warned it will be forced to redirect its missiles at Poland.

US officials have said that their military presence in Georgia will now become permanent.

The American military has been training and equipping the Georgian army since the spring of 2002.

Having trained three battalions of Georgian soldiers, US military instructors were due to leave in March.

2. Read the PNAC doctrines and documents...

The US is to dominate the next century (which is this century now) by forward positioning of our military assets to "critical regions" around the world. They don't want to bring the troops home, they want to put them in forward bases around the world, especially close to our competitors (of which Russia is still considered a major threat to American dominance). The former Soviet republics and client states form the "new Europe" which would include the former Iron Curtain countries of Poland, The Czech Republic, the Baltic states, Georgia... and a number of 'stans... especially if those states either have resources important to us (OIL) or pipelines for oil.

Hopefully we can get these PNAC assholes out of our government before they start an all out nuclear war with someone.

Fundamentally, they don't believe that we can innovate our way out of resource constraints... so we have to fight for what's left.

3. We have the resources and the people....
What we don't have is foresight and leadership. Our Federal Govt (along with the Gangster/Banksters) is corrupt from top to bottom. Our current leaders are Psychopaths and they are hell-bent on destruction in their quest for greed.

5. My question is how can bush commit our troops to a permanent
presence in Georgia. Wouldn't he need congress to agree? Also, will the next president be bound by his agreement with Georgia? I should probably know these things, but I don't...
