How do the Georgians pronounce Georgia?
(the one by the Caspian Sea, that is). Just as for years we used to say Peking and then we switched to Beijing.

14. Thanks, was no aware of wikitionary..
thus, it really is pronounced Gruzia.. There are several threads here about Georgia and I have to think twice that it is not the one where Atlanta is the capital.

6. When I was in elementary school, the maps said "Peiping"
which we thought was quite amusing, for the usual schoolboy reasons. :)
