I supported Edwards in the primary and still think he'd make a good president. It makes me ill to see how selfish people can be. In the end, politicians are probably some of the most flawed individuals in this world. It takes a certain level of arrogance to succeed in politics. Hell, I even see this at the local level. The people who run for city council in my city of a few thousand are the most self absorbed community members we have. The ones who would be good role models would never run for office.

I just "know" John Edwards, based on his past, his votes and his need to be powerful and in want of attention. I'm mortified, however, that it was an affair - cheating on a sick spouse - that finally made people wake up to who he really is.

I like Elizabeth, even though I never liked her choice for a husband, and I wouldn't wish a cheating spouse on my worst enemy. I've been there. It ain't fun.
