1. he's too radical for somebody as centrist/milquetoast as Obama.

Besides he wants Bush tried for murder and I am sure Obama would think that is just nuts.

6. Imagine Russ With A Large Majority In The Senate
I have a feeling that's what he dreams about. He'd do far greater good in championing the restoration of civil rights along with others on the Judiciary Committee...clear of the goofy 60 vote cloture votes and with a friendly Administration.

The AG pick will be a very important one as this is the most corrupt of all the departments. While Edwards looked like a great pick for that position, after watching a debate in person and seeing the interaction between the candidates, I really didn't see where Edwards would fit in an Obama administration or visa versa.

5. Ronnie Earle of Tx. who brought down Tom Delay
Edited on Sun Aug-10-08 08:06 AM by Dover
Ronald Dale "Ronnie" Earle (born February 23, 1942) is the District Attorney for Travis County, Texas. He became nationally known for filing charges against House majority leader Tom DeLay in September 2005 for conspiring to violate Texas' election law and/or to launder money. Earle has also prosecuted other politicians, including Senator Kay Bailey Hutchison and State Representative Mike Martin. On one occasion, he prosecuted himself for an election law violation after missing a campaign finance filing deadline by one day; he was fined $212.

Wouldn't THAT be a hoot!

Even better would be Lloyd Doggett of Austin, TX.......but we're not willing to give him up.
