Bush is having trouble keeping upright again

Gravity is not his friend. Apparently three men attend him, just to keep Bush upright.

U.S. President George W. Bush stumbles as he and his wife Laura, front, arrive to watch the swimming competitions in the National Aquatics Center at the Beijing 2008 Olympics in Beijing, Sunday, Aug. 10, 2008.

25. Look at his daughter Barbara's face in the second picture...she's mortified.
I know that face.

She's deeply embarrassed, because she knows he's drunk. But she's trying to appear that nothing is out of the ordinary. Looks to me like a typical family member of an alcoholic, trying to pretend there's no elephant in the room.

82. Lord David Owen of the UK House of Lords adds detail:
"On 13 January 2002 he (Bush) lost consciousness while sitting on a couch in the White House watching a football game. His head hit the floor, resulting in an abrasion on his left cheekbone. The incident was blamed on a combination of not feeling well in previous days and an improperly eaten pretzel. I was contacted by a British doctor who had visited Johns Hopkins University and in talking to a group of young doctors was told that, following this incident, though the President had been admitted to Walter Reed Hospital, a blood sample of his had been sent to Johns Hopkins which showed a blood alcohol level in the range of 200 mg."

British measure 200 mg. = US .20 bac

85. The football game was an AFC wildcard game.
The Ravens beat Miami, in Miami, 20-3. Being a Dolphins fan, I can totally understand why anyone would have choked and passed out watching that abortion of a game. Maybe he was drunk, but maybe he was just sick from watching some really bad football.

We thought something seemed not right about the way he made his way to the seat. I think I said, "There's something wrong with him," but I still don't know what.

Colin Powell once indicated that the whole administration took Ambien, especially when they travel. Would that cause him to be unsteady, or appear drunk?

Remember the little bit that came out during Shock and Awe? Troops telling Mom they'd been taking amphetamines, some of them listening to their favorite death-metal music while they killed ANY and all Iraqis.

There was also stuff in our local paper, in 2003 or 04 i think, reports from the army about increased prescriptions for psychotropic meds and increased suicide rates, and of course more recent reports about increased suicide rates.

All of that got shutup pretty quickly didn't it.

78. That is truly amazing. I've just found out what Ambien is (in case others like me didn't know):
Edited on Sun Aug-10-08 03:22 PM by Ghost Dog
...Ambien will make you fall asleep. Never take this medication during your normal waking hours, unless you have a full 7 to 8 hours to dedicate to sleeping.

Some people using this medicine have engaged in activity such as driving, eating, or making phone calls and later having no memory of the activity. If this happens to you, stop taking Ambien and talk with your doctor about another treatment for your sleep disorder.

Ambien can cause side effects that may impair your thinking or reactions. You may still feel sleepy the morning after taking the medication. Until you know how this medication will affect you during waking hours, be careful if you drive, operate machinery, pilot an airplane, or do anything that requires you to be awake and alert. Do not drink alcohol while you are taking this medication. It can increase some of the side effects of Ambien, including drowsiness. This medication may be habit-forming and should be used only by the person it was prescribed for. Ambien should never be shared with another person, especially someone who has a history of drug abuse or addiction. Keep the medication in a secure place where others cannot get to it...

32. he VERY obviously has:
tardive dyskinesia....chronic response to long term ANTI-PSYCHOTIC medication

remember the hula jaw days?

unlike akathisia (restlessness), dystonia (sudden and painful muscle stiffness) and Parkinsonism (tremors and slowing down of all body muscles), which can occur within hours to days of taking an antipsychotic drug, TD is primarily characterized by random movements in the tongue, lips or jaw as well as facial grimacing, movements of arms, legs, fingers and toes, or even swaying movements of the trunk or hips.

TD can be quite embarrassing to the affected patient when in public. The movements disappear during sleep. They can be mild, moderate or severe.

90. Texans stole that saying.
According to legend, Cooter Brown lived along the Mason-Dixon line during the Civil War and had family in both the North and the South. Therefore, he did not want to fight on either side and decided to stay drunk during the entire war so he wouldn't be drafted by either side.

But that's ok, Texans can use it if they want to!

72. GAWD! If he'd only do a faceplant, he'd actually be useful for a change in making us laugh.
Otherwise, he's just such a waste of oxygen. I swear, I have been so conditioned to get so pissed off whenever I see his face. There are idiots and then there are idiots like him.
