The irony of Bush's warning to Russia concerning Georgia attack!
I just heard George Bush on NBC say that Russia is attacking a "sovereign country" (Georgia) and in doing so, is about to cause an upheaval in all the surrounding countries. Hmmmm.....does this scenerio sound vaguely familiar?.....think Iraq Georgie. The self-satisfied arrogance and stupidity of this man is mind-boggling!

2. Not only that, but Russia's on the right side of this one
Georgia went after South Ossetia because it used to be part of Georgia in the distant past. Never mind it is now 75% Russian and wants to remain so.

The parallel is more like the Iraqi attack against Kuwait on the idea that Kuwait was once an Iraqi province.

3. I haven't really followed the particulars but was only struck by
the gall of Bush to criticize someone for invading when he had done the same thing himself.

5. No kidding, this country has lost whatever
moral authority it once had, including a reputation for upholding the Geneva Conventions it took 100 years to build. All it took was Reagan through this idiot to demolish it completely.

Likely it will take at least another century to rebuild any trust, at all.

7. Hopefully Obama will be elected and that will be the start of the
rebuilding. I'm sure you know that the people of the world, including my own country, do not dislike Americans....it's Bush and his buddies who are despised. People forget quickly and if things start turning around under Obama it won't be too long before trust is restored. Remember the welcoming throngs when he was overseas? Not a burning effegy or flag to be seen anywhere.

6. The US wants Georgia to have
Ossetia. Georgia is a US ally...and Ossetia has oil, naturally.

The man is utterly transparent.
