The Financial Times reports that Sen. John McCain’s (R-AZ) campaign is vetting Sen. Joe Lieberman (I-CT) as a potential vice presidential running mate. One adviser said, “ loves Lieberman. And he is on the list because Lieberman has never embarrassed anyone, never misspoken. The first rule is, don’t take someone who costs you votes.” The adviser also added, however, that many conservatives “would be pissed as hell.” Lieberman will also likely attend the GOP convention and may be speaking there.

Last week I heard a GOOP "consultant" with connections to fundieland saying that they won't accept any Veep who is pro-choice. He even hinted that there may be a disruption at the convention as the anti-choicers put their own candidate in nomination...and forcing a major floor fight.

Think of the irony here...this is what Camp Gramps and the corporate media was hoping would happen at the DNC, but Operation Chaos could end up in Minneapolis...between a possible revolt if Gramps nominates either Joementum and the thousands of pissed-off Paulbots who will be meeting nearby. We could witness a major meltdown here...and the corporate media won't be able to hide it.
