Truthboating--Edwards & McCain
The whole Edwards thing has brought an interesting question to mind for many of us: Are the McCainstream Media going to hammer away on John's infidelity while giving McCain a pass? Actually, I's sure this is a rhetorical question. Maybe Olberman will do something on McCain, but for the most part, we know they're gonna leave McCain alone.

So I just invented the concept of Truthboating as an antidote.

Truthboating is the antithesis of Swiftboating.

First, as the name implies, Truthboating refers to the spreading of true and accurate information--and spreading it in ways that hook the emotions of the recipients.

Second, where Swiftboating relied on the McCainstream media to serve as an echo chamber, endlessly repeating the calumnies, Truthboating uses the alternative media, mostly the Net: Youtube, Facebook, the blogs, sites like this--but also uses hardcopy where it can: Letters to the editor in local media, etc.

Swiftboating is a centralized process, using the big bucks of a few Money Guys and the complicity of the media oligarchy; Truthboating is a decentralized enterprise, relying on the efforts of hundreds or thousands of individuals and taking advantage ofthe principles of viral messaging.

Truthboating is netroots, Swiftboating is Astroturf.

Can we make it work?

2. At least two.
One with Cindy while he was in the process of abandoning his crippled first wife, and another with Iseman or whatever her name was, the blonde lobbyist.

7. Where's the National Enquirer when we need them?
Sigh. C'mon, "enquiring minds want to know" about McCain's cheating, too.
