3. Economy, wars, etc
Seriously this coverage is over the top.

I'll take someone that cheats on his wife over some one who starts wars. We don't need personal lives on TV.

7. McCain also lied about Vicky
and had an affair with the beer heiress while married to an injured woman.

16. And the media spent about a nanosecond on the Vicky story. As to his first wife Carol, he was a
serial cheater. Cindy wasn't his first affair.

12. It's Cheap & Easy Headlines
Most of those beltway bubbleheads have plenty of their own slime to account for...lies that far outweigh a non-candidate caught in a personal scandal. He's not an elected official...but one would think it was the front-runner who was caught up in this. There are plenty of stories about the wild antics of the DC steno pool. Let's have 24/7 coverage of O'Reilly's loofah...we never got the full story there...or Rushbo's trip to the Dominican Republic...along with his arrest at the airport. It's good to see some folks calling in about Gramp's adultery...but IOKIYAR.

And while we're at it...why don't these "journalists" do a little digging about Vicky Iseman...his airplane rides on Bud Paxon's jet and the quid pro quos that still haven't been really aired.

Bottom line is that "sex sells"...and the corporate media is like a bunch of 14 year olds...gossip, inuendo and "outrage" about the superfluous and never of anything about substance.

:hi:

15. He's Trying To Be "Fair And Balanced"...
What else do the slimeballs have to talk about...this is a great distraction from all the real scandals going on. You can see Rob is hoping there's someone out there ready to lower to boom on Edwards here...with extra credit points for invoking the Clenis and Sandy Berger's underware.

The good thing is this mess is out there and will be well in the rear-view mirror by the time of the Convention. May the Edwards family find their solice and peace...and let's go and win an election.

8. Government and news media have priorities mixed
Nine million missing in Iraq while ABC investigates money for Edwards and his woman.

14. You Give People Too Much Credit
I was amused by the initial GOOP spinners who tried to say "let's respect his privacy" and then a few minutes later the "moral equivelency" game is played. The gaul of the corporate media to focus on the tawdry...as long as you have a (D) associated with your name. Be assured these same spinners will be dog whistling how all Democrats are adulterers...what else do they have to go on.

The good thing is it appears the callers this morning aren't buying the bullshit. We've been down this road one time too many...and for a majority, there are far more important issues to focus on...this has zero affect on their lives.

We'll see how morally bankrupt in ideas the GOOP is if they try to spin this non-story or attempt to project it onto Senator Obama. I'm sure they will.

18. Today's New Word: Clenvy...
Definition: the desire of the corporate media to find any and every Democratic scandal and play the "outrage" card and wallow in it for days and weeks on end while totally ignoring their own "indiscretions" or real crimes and issues. Useage: "Johnny couldn't get enough Clenvy when he heard about the payments to the hooker that he completely forgot he lost his job". To use the old schoolyard taunt from "back in the day"...these people need to "get laid".
