8. See Heinlein - there is such a thing as sin
Sin, according to one of Heinlein's characters (which generally reflected himself if they wore white hats, as this one did) consists solely of harming others. Grok?

9. I loved Stranger in a Strange Land, but I believe that a sin is an offense to God.
Being gay does not hurt anyone, but according to the Holy Bible, it is a sin. Since there is no God, there can be no sin.

4. Indeed!
The number of shame-on-Edwards threads is shocking.

5. It's not shocking when you consider how loved Elizabeth Edwards is and how much sympathy
is being sent her way.

7. She's still married to John
Do you really think she's happy to have every other thread at DU be about this stupid affair?

Would you want your private life to be the talk of the town -- even on a fairly serious political site such as this -- even if people were taking your side?

I'd want everyone to shut up about it, myself.

6. You got it
Might I add.

Those qualities that we see and dislike in others, we very often deny seeing in ourselves.

Lesson... don't become the same thing in which you claim to hate.
