Frankly, I don't appreciate how we eat our own kind when the rest of the world is going to revel in doing it.

5. Yes they did
and then he went behind her back after she had forgiven him and went to see the woman again. I don't differentiate how I feel about republican politicians that do this any different than Democratic ones.

3. You're right about that.

No need to beat ourselves silly when there are others who are glad to do it.

4. Too bad our kind doesn't eat each other after things like the IWR...
Edited on Fri Aug-08-08 03:39 PM by Oregone
Even on this site, people scream "He's Dead to Me Now" (quote BTW)....

If people were that tempermental, why did they respect him in the first place after such votes as the Iraq War Resolution....

Seriously now...its sad that a politician that makes policies isn't held responsible for them at all, but only held responsible for what they do in their personal life. Bizzaro world. Ah, whatever...I never liked the guy anyway.

7. I prefer to hold people accountable for what they do with their lives,
public and private.

I haven't forgotten the IWR. I never did.

I haven't forgotten Obama's funding of the war he was against, while in Congress, or the FISA vote, either.

6. I am very sad that John Edwards cheated on his wife
But if people say they couldn't vote for him because of that cheating, then they should not vote for McCain because he cheated on a wife who had remained loyal to him throughout his POW days.

I heard Diane Rehm (sp?) say on NPR that we don't know that he cheated. However, McCain got a license to marry Cindy before his divorce. McCain admits in his book that Nancy and Ronald Reagan were icy cold to him for abandoning the wife they had worked with on POW issues.

8. The small handful of those making the "touchdown dance/I told you so!" posts,
wagging their fingers at the former Edwards supporters are particularly vile - class really doesn't recognize political affiliation, I guess...

9. I'm surprised more folks aren't concerned about Georgia........
where all hell is breaking loose.

Nope! Lets talk about the philandering white guy instead.

10. Now, I Understand Why Republicans Survive These Scandals - It's Their Religion
Forgiveness. "Let he who is without sin blah blah blah."

The reaction here is disappointing, to say the least, in its lack of thoughtfulness.

11. Didn't you get the DUmemo? You have to turn on Democrats in any kind of trouble as fast as you can,
in "thaaa name of ethics!" I swear, there are people here who will simply change bumper stickers from "Impeach Bush," to "Impeach Obama," at 12:01 on Jan. 20th.

13. I could disagree more with the OP.
We've got to stand for not telling lies, and not covering up the truth.
