The world could blow up now,
Edited on Fri Aug-08-08 02:43 PM by tannybogus
and all we would see or hear for the next bazillion days would be John Edwards. I'll have to get a shortwave
radio to keep up with what is happening in the real world. I am not defending him, and this deserves to be covered.
However, the Kennedy assassination coverage is rivaled by this. Get an effing grip!

1. Actually I'm pretty sure this won't be to long a story
I mean yeah heavy this weekend, but what can you say about it? "The guy who the Democratic Party didn't select for President turns out to have had an affair. What does this say about the Democratic Party, that they almost selected but then didn't a guy who had an affair?"

I could be wrong.

2. Hey, at least he admitted it on a Friday, Opening Day of the Olympics,
when Russia went to war with Georgia. Today is not a slow news day, and it should be glanced over by most Americans.

8. If it bleeds (or spurts) it leads.

Guess which story will run on a continuous loop? Yah sure, a major foreign invasion, or maybe the sporting event which has had ethical challenges of its own in recent years...dream on.

3. Hardly
"the Kennedy assasination coverage is rivaled by this."

Get a grip!

I remember November 22, 1963 and the days that followed.

The coverage of Edwards does not rivel the coverage of President Kennedy's assassination.

6. Gonna keep the talking heads turned off for a while.
Do you think if this was McCain who had the affair it would be such a bit deal? Oh WAIT, he did have an affair, then got divorced and is now married to the woman he had the affair with. Seems like it would be a much bigger deal for a candidate for president, than for someone that isn't running anymore. Shame on them both, and anyone that cheats on their mate.

7. Do you think fox will accidentally misidentify Edwards as a Republican?
