Thanks to DailyKos for pointing out this article in the Phoenix New Times by Amy Silverman who's been covering McCain and Arizona politics for 15 yrs. It's a great history detailing the Keating Scandal, McCain using Mo Udall's and Goldwater's good names to further his career then throwing them "under the bus", Cindy's drug addiction and associated fraud and extortion, everything. Very good read and I hope that it gets some MSM coverage.

1. So far, I have not seen one McCain bumper sticker

in my part of the state (northern-AZ). Maybe it's too early. There has never been that much enthusiasm for him, even among Arizona Republicans. He seems to be Senator only because of the (R) and some sort of entitlement.

2. The irony of "no earmarks" didn't hit me till now. I forgot about CAP

One of the biggest government assistance programs in US history which, as Ms. Goodman points out, is the main reason there's anyone to represent in Arizona.

I've got the article bookmarked so I can go back and read the original stories she linked to. The "Zonies" I know don't think much of McCain either but they're libs anyway.

McCain is a nasty piece of work, isn't he?

And Sam Donaldson and Mike Wallace refusing to cover any negatives on McCain just confirm what we already knew. There IS no so-called "liberal" media.

Amazing that McCain had the nerve to complain that the media "loves" Obama when he's been getting a pass for years.

talking points while FOX directly quotes them. I guess you can convince the public of anything if you tell a lie often enough.

Heck he hasn't voted or attended a committee meeting since like April has he? I loved it when Bush praised him for getting the New GI Bill passed when McCain skipped not only the committee meetings but the vote.
