I must point out that this is just my assessment of the various names being thrown around. I'm sure I've forgotten a few names.
Joe Biden - 2/1 Named as one of the three strongest possibles, highly experianced, makes a terrific attack dog
Kaine, Bayh - 3/1 The other two named possibles, either would make decent choices but Kaine's pro-life personal views make some uncomfortable (despite his pro-choice voting record) and Bayh comes across as a competent middle manager
Clark, Richardson - 5/1 Two strong possibles. Clark has the respect of virtually everyone, would counter McCain's "war hero" schtick and might help sooth divisions. Richardson has experiance aplenty and helps with Hispanic voters. Don't count either guy out of the running.
Sebellius, Edwards, Webb - 7/1 Edwards was more likely before rumours of his extramarital activities sprang up. Sebellius (apologies for spelling) is something of an outside contender but brings a lot to the ticket. Webb has a lot to offer but hasn't been seriously mentioned in months.
Hillary, Kucinich - 10/1 Hillary has as many negatives as positives and there's the Bill factor to be considered. Kucinich is regarded as a far-left radical and, much as I love the guy, looks like a gnome.
Barbara Boxer, John Kerry - 15/1 Boxer is just my personal pick. Kerry has had Obama's back since the primaries, he's experianced and statesmanlike but is regarded as the loser of 2004.
Al Gore - 100/1 Loaded over with gravitas and experiance, globally famous and mostly beloved worldwide but would probably only consider it if all other possibles with struck by asteroids.
