Suskind emphasized to Olbermann that "Maguire, I think, will still stand up in daylight." He noted that Maguire recently said he understands why the first and second amendments appear in that order, because "the first amendment is the most important amendment. If they take that one away, then you should start loading your weapons."

1. interesting that Maguire didn't speak in person, and only a written statement
second hand through Richer was released.

Stinkier and stinkier.

2. I saw that last night. The first two amendments are the most important for that reason! nt

3. It would be explosive stuff if we had a free press and an informed electorate...
like America sometimes has in the movies.

4. There'll be Hell to pay once it's proved in court these turds lied America into war...
There'll be something else to pay once it's proved these turds were connected to 9-11. And that's from where the forgery story stems. So, yes, there's a lot of pressure on Suskind's sources who've been made public.

We need to assure and assist the other sources that they have public support. That way, the ones who are guilty are the ones who'll be sweating bullets.

First Amendment? Yeah, that's why Corporate McPravda spews fertilizer 24/7. If one controls what the public thinks about, one can control what the public does -- or doesn't do.

5. except we're the only ones who are going to hear about it. us and the NPR
listeners who were treated to Steve Inskeep (noted Right wing ubershill) going after Suskind on his abominable Morning Edition

did you see Plaid Adder's thread on that?

I was watching the tube for a good bit of the day, and this story was NEVER mentioned]

not once, at least on cable. dunno about nightly news, which I usually don't watch

7. We have more than enough to impeach the bastids
will not happen, since both parties are the parties of empire

And until that happens, the country will not grow up and move on.

I don't expect that to happen in my lifetime

Hell, I expect the bastids to do all they can to destroy all evidence... period... no matter what letter is behind their name

Members of the imperial party have way too much at stake to allow a fair hearing.

Cynic much? Yes...

Expect things to change? Not any more

8. For those paying attention, the threads they tried to tie so neatly are unraveling.
As others have said though, if a scandal happens in the forest and no one is there to report it, did it happen?
