I just completed a telephone survey (John Kennedy vs. Mary Landrieu) -- heehee.
I didn’t give the answers he was looking for because I didn’t give the answers he provided. Rather than let him lead me, I gave the answers that were important to me.

First Question: Which issue is most important to you? He swiftly strung together a long list with an enunciation-lazy Joe Lieberman-type voice, seemingly forgetting to use his larynx to project clearly. Rather than asking him to repeat himself so that I could understand the options, I gave him my own: impeachment.

Second Question: Would you vote for a pro-life or pro-abortion candidate? I said, "This shouldn’t be an issue, period."

Third Question: A long question about making schools be more accountable! With the same inflection used by Jim Mora when he was asked about the Saints making the playoffs, I said, "More accountable?! Thanks to George Bush’s No Child Left Behind, the teachers are spending more classroom time teaching how to take tests than teaching!"

Will you be voting for John Kennedy or Mary Landrieu? "I will never, b]ever vote for a Republican."

With a "thank you for your time", the short conversation was over.

My answers weren't recorded, I'm sure, but it felt good not allowing myself to be herded like a mindful sheep.

1. Wow, Kennedy is running?
His corpse has to be in his 90s by now.

2. Sad
Sad to say but this will be a close race.

Kennedy did support Kerry but now he makes himself to be ultra conservative.:puke:

3. He used to be a Democrat.
If I could find any good news in my area, it would have to be the fact that I haven't seen any signs or bumper stickers for McCain. But I did see one Obama bumper sticker on a car in front of me the other day. As I passed them, I gave a thumbs up.

9. Kennedy really is a little shitbag
Truth be told he was probably more liberal than Landrieu just a few years ago. But then Karl Rove came to him and gave him the quickest route to the US Senate and he jumped on it.

I hope Landrieu not only beats him but smears him so bad that his career is ruined. He needs to learn his lesson for turning to the dark side.

6. But what if he substituted his own preferred answers, since mine weren't included on the options
list? The "impeachment" answer particularly threw him for a loop, judging from his "er...okay".

I think I may have woke him up from his drudgery. He seemed to like my answer on the abortion question.

7. It's a good feeling to awake the poll questioner out of his own catatonic state.

15. I got a recorded one from my ass-wipe repuke congressman last night.
All push poll type, leading questions, and you could only answer yes or no.

And I screamed IMPEACHMENT at the first question.

16. I wonder what would have happened if you pressed "3" instead of "1" for yes & "2" for no.
And if you had hung up, would there be a record of it?
