Just heard on a newsbreak on Nova-M that Novak's cancer is malignant
He has resigned his job immediately and called his condition dire.

He is still a jerk, but its a hell of a diagnosis. Condolences to him and his family.

4. Yes, I'm hopeful for some compassion for him
I'm glad he retired and we don't have to hear from him anymore. I think he is a total slime bucket. But I don't wish cancer on anybody.

6. In fairness...
it's hard to have compassion for somebody who is likely responsible (at least indirectly) for many deaths of innocent people.

9. I feel compassion for the diagnosis only,
And for his family. Just as we expected compassion for Ted Kennedy from the right.

14. Ted Kennedy=good person..
person who has dedicated his life to making the lives of the less fortunate better.

Bob Novak=one of the worst Americans that ever lived, indirectly responsible for much death and destruction

Sorry, no comparison. I can see where people would have no compassion for him.

20. That is true, thats what we have been told
However, the right has never forgiven Kennedy for Chappaquidik. I swear, they had more compassion for Teddy's diagnosis than we have seen here for Novak. Like I said, I don't like the man, I think he is pond scum. But I still don't wish a cancer diagnosis on anybody.

10. I pray that he recovers
So he can be tried for treason in the Plame outing incident then stood up in front of a firing squad when he is found guilty.

24. Karma is a .... well you know..
Every person on this planet, every living thing will die..from something.. The only difference with Novak (and the other famous ones who get sick) is that we KNOW about them.. Most of us live with the deaths of people all the time.. people in our families and circles of friends & acquaintances..

Those who seek fame, and do it malignantly, will not be all that "missed" when they pass on, those who do it with charm, grace and kindness to all, will be missed ...always..

Most of us don't around wishing a painful death on people we don't like..we usually just avoid them, or only find out when someone we know, tells us they are ill or have died.....but the ones who are shoved in our faces every time we turn on a tv or pick up a paper, are a little different.. they CHOSE to be the burr under the saddle.. they did not arrive in our faces accidentally, so of course we pay closer attention to their "troubles"..

Novak chose to be an aggressive, mean-spirited, right wing zealot, who reveled in the misfortunes of anyone with a "D" next to their names.. he made shit up when he could not find the real story..he outed a spy, and lied about it.. In past times, he would have been hanged by now..

If he has children, I do feel for them, with the potential loss of daddy/Grandpa, but only because they did not choose him as their daddy/grandpa.. Hopefully he has been more fiscally responsible than Tony Snow was.. I'd hate to be seeing pleas for financial aid for Novak's family ...

Bush with Valerie Plame and then the McCain campaign fake VP announcement. I never want to see someone get that kind of news though, prayers go out.
