media apparances. I was surprised to be impressed with her. She is very well spoken and praised Hillary and Chelsea and refused to endorse McCain.(this was before the end of the primary) Perhaps the fact that Laura was a Dem who admits not voting for her father in law is rubbing off?

5. Her book was selling for $ 2.75 at Book a Million
I went to purchase some books for grandaughter, and was surprised at the price, and stack of them. I did pick up one and my grandaughter said she enjoyed it. She can't help who her parents are!

13. Guilt by Association is a TERRIBLE thing.
It robs children and relatives of a life free of what we hold most dear; Freedom from guilt unless PROVEN guilty.

Jenna Bush didn't do ANYTHING WRONG. She's totally disconnected from responsibility for her father's actions. Totally.

To hold her up to ridicule because of who she was born to is EXACTLY the same as holding up an Indian child to ridicule because his/her parents live in Mumbai and starve rather than eat beef.

Couldn't have her Grandmother Welch passing out again, could we?

The Bush family vacation proceeded Tuesday as planned, despite Christmas Day's medical scare in Austin.

Jenna Bush, one of Bush's 19-year-old twin daughters, was rushed to the hospital late on Monday afternoon after complaining of abdominal distress. She was quickly taken into surgery, and her appendix was removed.

Jenna hoped to join her family in Florida as early as Wednesday, said Bush spokesman Gordon Johndroe. She was scheduled to be released from Austin's St. David's Medical Center sometime later in the day Tuesday.

...Bush, wearing a gray cowboy hat, left the governor's mansion in a rainstorm to visit his daughter for about 45 minutes after the procedure Monday night. Bush himself had his appendix removed when he was 10.

The president-elect said Tuesday that the family was having lunch at a friend's home when the attack occurred. The family returned to the governor's mansion, where Jenna's pain grew more severe.

...Should Jenna not be able to join the rest of the family in Florida as planned, Bush joked, she would be welcome to stay home in Austin and "clean out her room" in the governor's mansion.

...Laura Bush's mother, Jenna Welch, who is in her 80s, suffered spells of dizziness and felt faint Wednesday at a Christmas party. She was held overnight in a hospital for observation.
