Faux Talking Points for the last few days: Bring up the issue of race. O'Reilly says he doesn't get

talking points. Tonight we'll see.

The logic: Faux realized McCain didn't have to mention Obama's race and the racial issue. Believing that he always seems to benefit when the subject is race, they have come to the decission to keep discussing it themselves. Today, they discussed Juan Williams's article (how convenient!) on the race issue being used. Tomorrow there will be some other item in the news that will allow them to discuss Obama's race some more. And some more. And some more.

5. "The cost of liberty is eternal
vigilance," as someone said. Meaning, "You got to keep your eye on them sons-of-bitches!"

But I understand, Faux is toxic.

2. If YOU mention race, YOU are playing the race card. If I mention race
YOU are playing the race card.

Republicans. Having it both ways for 50 years.

3. Juan Williams! Of course

Fox News / NPR's token African American.

Thats right. I said Token.
I meant it.

Remember when O'Reilly expressed surprise that patrons at a restaurant in a black community, were able to master cutlery, and didnt say "mother-fucker" when ordering appetizers. And wow! Nobody got knifed!... Remember?
Juan Williams was right there on Fox News while O'Reilly spilled his story.
Juan Williams smiled beatifically. Nodding. Nodding and smiling.

When the subject of race comes up, Fox News trots out Juan Williams. (Sadly, so does NPR).

Hey Fox News! Hey NPR! Why dont we hear from Cornell West!?
Why dont we hear from Tavis Smiley?
Huh? Why not?
