From a Reuters/Zogby Poll...Rising Food Prices
Which of the following best describes how you are compensating for rising food prices?

33% I can absorb the higher costs without any changes to my life
22% I have reduced my retail and entertainment spending
15% I am using grocery coupons more often to cut costs
14.5% I have altered my diet to eat less expensive foods
8% I am eating less food generally
5% I have taken on more personal debt
2.5% Not sure

Considering the number of overweight individuals in this country maybe this situation could provide motivation to... Well you know.

Get Healthy, Get fit! You might be more apt to vote Obama...more energy to walk to the voting stations. Three months to go, plenty of time.

1. There seems to be no acknowledgment that a big factor of so many
people being overweight, is because cheap, processed, fast foods are cheaper. I can buy a McDonald's double cheeseburger for 99 cents, or one orange. I can buy a box of pasta which will yield several servings, or one serving of lean chicken. And on.

Anyway, I'm surprised that 33% of the people can absorb higher costs without any lifestyle changes. I think percentage will decline in the not to distant future.

And I'm sorry, I kind of just hijacked your thread, which is honestly sweet and cute.

4. Yeah - cheap food is NOT healthy;
If you want a cheap meal, you go to McDonalds. The fruit and Veggies you're better off eating are more expensive.
