Bush History, 8/4 - Bush Fiddles While the Earth Warms
National Geographic News reports on this date that the intensity and duration of hurricanes has increased by roughly 50% in the past 30 years. Global warming is likely playing a large role in that. Other studies point to the dramatic increase in US forest fires and even unusually intense rainstorms. The Bush administration's response has been, largely, to sweep the evidence under the rug.
