Daschle said so in interviews already. Leahy has been very critical of the investigation.

Simple as that. The anthrax attacks shut down like an operation would shut down: permanently and with little trace.

Compare that to the Unabomber, another technically adept killer whose compulsion to send bombs never stopped until he was caught.

Whoever did this isn't a nutcase in the regular sense. Whoever did this is a criminal, a criminal who tailored these attacks to achieve an obvious political result. And once the result was achieved, all trace of the operation disappeared, partially thanks to the FBI.

So... what's the list of criminals who have political objectives (against liberals) to reach, access to military bioweapons, the knowledge of how FBI investigations work, and the ability to hinder those investigations?

Somewhere on that short, short list are your culprits.

5. There is nothing I hate worst than having to debunk some

harebrained conspiracy fantasy.

However, this whole thing has finally caused them to admit that the whole thing was done from a top level CIA lab and could have been done nowhere else.

The lone lunatic story that they've trotted out repeatedly for every single political assassination or attempt at assassination of anyone outside the GOP is wearing extremely thin.

This whole story stinks to high heaven, especially the overkill on the man's character. We don't have any of the answers. However, we do know that trying to put the story to rest on the grave of one dead scientist is total bunk.
