For the low information voter...
McCain And Obama Comic Books Available In The Fall

IDW Publishing is planning on John McCain and Barack Obama comic books. No, McCain will not be starring as the Man of Steel or Obama as the Incredible Obama. As an IDW editor said, “We’re not doing anything that is sensational here.”

The 28-page comic books will be straightforward biographies with only the facts. Besides being sold in comic book stores, they will also be available in a fully downloadable version to cell phones. Actually, the cell phone sales are a major emphasis. IDM wants to show off graphics on the cell phones and expects these comic books to be a test for the GoComics mobile comic book reader.

IDW is already receiving criticism from the comics. The McCain picture has a red background, which some say suggests foreboding. IDW said they were only trying to associate red with Republicans, and blue with Democrats as is the accepted norm. Others criticized the Obama photo as angry while the McCain one was smiling. IDW responded that in most stock photos McCain is smiling while Obama is not.

That just proves no matter what you do someone will be unhappy. Although the real question is who will sell more?

1. The low information voter focuses on likability
Information makes his head hurt. It will come down to the debates and the commercials during the last two weeks.

Magoo is not likable. He, like Dole, is the mean old man who screamed at the low information voter to get the hell off his lawn, make their dog stop barking, and turn that damned thing down.

The negativity his campaign is focusing on will only intensify that effect.

2. So why is McCain drawn as a buff, heads up
Captain Amerika type, instead of the grumpy, shuffling old man that we see on TV every day?

3. "Low information voter"
I love these terms they come out with now. It's not hunger, it's food insecurity. It's not a prisoner, it's an enemy combatant. There used to be another, more honest name for the 'low information voter' too- a fucking moron.
