John Edwards Passes on Fox News Debate in Nevada
Democratic presidential candidate John Edwards won't participate in a debate co-hosted by Fox News Channel and the Nevada Democratic Party.

Edwards' campaign says the conservative news network's involvement in the debate was part of its decision to pass on the debate scheduled for August.

Party officials have been trying to settle a dustup over the debate.

Online activists led by MoveOn Civic Action are calling on the party to drop Fox. They say the cable network is a -- quote -- "mouthpiece of the Republican party."

Nevada Democratic Party chairmen Tom Collins offered to put a progressive voice on the debate panel and allow the event to be aired on C-SPAN. MoveOn rejected the compromise.

2. I hope they say they are going to show up
and stand them up. It would be precious to see Britt Hume with that hound dog who just lost his rabbit look on his face again, like he did covering the 06 elections.

3. Please let Sen. Obama do the same. That would take the interest out of it.

4. I agree with Big Eddie...Dems should refuse to participate in any faux news
debates. Fox has built a reputation on administration propaganda, and therefore is not a reliable source of information for the American public.
