Tell a lie
It has to be a good lie, of course. It should have a kernel of truth in it, as it would not look like a lie on the surface. If you have friends that you trust to spread the lie around freely like so much fertilizer, tell them the lie. It's even better that you not tell them that it is a lie, as you want them to appear sincere when they spread it. Why should they not believe you, you're all friends and friends tell each other the truth.

When confronted, raise your voice, appear animated, indignant and accusatory. But most of all, insist that your lie is the God's honest truth. Impart that you have nothing to gain by telling the lie, even though everyone and their mama knows that the opposite is true.

When trying to legitimize your lie, use lots of flashy graphics and "man on the street" interviews. Bring in "experts", just as loud mouth as you are.

Remember, your audience lacks the common sense enough to put ten cents together to get a dime. They have no intellectual curiosity. They pretty much trust you... Abuse that trust as much as you like. Most stupid people would rather lose a limb before they admit that they were willing suckers. It's a PRIDE thing and it's yours for the exploitation.

Get your lie in print. The printed word has a special quality all its own. It should be outrageous, tug at the reader's heartstrings, make the reader's blood boil. You should appear that you're doing the right thing by telling this lie. Hey, you're doing everyone a big favor by lying to them, right?

Use pictures and other images to tell your lie. Crop out important parts, discolor them, use an out of context caption, mis-date them and most of all reuse them over and over again. It takes a few times to get your point across. And pictures, like diamonds, are forever.

Cartoons... Dope!

Eventually, the truth will come out. But the lie was there first and we all know that the early bird gets the worm. There will be many more places that your lie will reach that the truth will not find.

Of course, once your lie becomes useless, there's only one thing that you can do... That's tell another lie. And the process starts all again.

"A lie gets halfway around the world before the truth has a chance to get its pants on."
Winston Churchill
