"Brazil Police Battle Bush Protesters"
SAO PAULO, Brazil (AP) - Police clashed Thursday with students, environmentalists and left-leaning Brazilians protesting a visit by President Bush and his push for an ethanol energy alliance with Latin America's largest nation.

Riot police fired tear gas at protesters and beat them with batons in Sao Paulo after more than 6,000 people held a largely peaceful march, sending hundreds of demonstrators fleeing and ducking into businesses to avoid the gas.

Authorities did not immediately report any injuries, but Brazilian media said at least six people were hurt after marching two miles through the financial heart of South America's largest city just hours before Bush was scheduled to arrive.

Police and anti-Bush protesters also clashed in Colombia, where Bush is scheduled to visit on Sunday as part of his five-nation tour of Latin America.

2. Seriously, though, has any US POTUS faced protests everywhere he goes?
I just can't think of one,...not even Reagan.

4. None that I can think of.
Honest to God if I could I would dig up Dick Nixon and breath life back
into him if he would take over for bush.

BTW before he died Nixon tried to warn people about the dangers of the neo-cons
and getting our troops involved in the mid-east.

Also bush is so politically "tone deaf" he wants Brazil to sell us it's ethanol now?
Brazil busted ass so it would not have to import oil for the past 20 years ....
sure George you are so damn popular I am sure they want to give it up to you
now.

6. I didn't know Nixon tried to warn against the neocons.
I also didn't know the, um, potus, wanted to buy ethanol from Brazil. Why? Does one of his cronies have a business seeking to exploit that resource, too? :puke:

7. Nixon was nasty but he did know international affairs .....
..... And yes not long before he died he wrote that the United States
should never commit troops to the mid east because of all the different
factions and how it would become a quagmire. He sensed in the early
90s what the neo cons were all about. (he called Rummy a sneaky little
shit when he worked in the Nixon White House too.)

from the above article;
"... Brazilians protesting a visit by President Bush and his push for an ethanol energy alliance with
Latin America's largest nation."

9. *LOL* they're ALL "sneaky little shits".
It's like, part of the neocon cult,...to be 'sneaky little shits'.

I'd be interested in this "ethanol energy alliance" because, when it comes to the Bushes, everything's about making money,...above human rights, equality, laws.
