He executed 152 in my state of Texas, with side-kick Speedy Gonzales not only egging him on in a blind fog of injustice and political expedience, but even mocking in a public forum (Bu$h, that is) a supplicant to his mercy as a Christian and the state governor. Bu$h could not get the trap door open soon enough. In addition to his Texas record, he has a couple of federal executions under his belt (Timothy McVeigh, for one) and the specious trial and execution of his daddy's nemesis, Saddam Hussein. Just another reason I favor Universal National Service. I think it'd be appropriate for every person favoring capital punishment to do their time in a military combat arm. What the hell ... wallow in it. (And enjoy the feeling of an 'opposition' with the same mindset.)

10. Military rapes have been in the news a lot lately

This is probably an attempt to look like they are doing something about it.

They let any violent disturbed maniac who shows up at the recruiting office join up and then cover up violent rape murders to avoid looking bad. Now that many of them are starting to come out in the news they are going to kill a man who they already had in jail to put a band-aid on the situation rather than raise the standards and cut down on the numbers of new recruits.

That being said sometimes these monsters test my personal stand against capital punishment. A man who would do such a thing needs more than just permanent confinement. Castration maybe?
