Vincent Bugliosi argues that President Bush and his administration are responsible for murdering thousands of U.S. soldiers and over 100,000 Iraqi civilians in Iraq. He spoke at an event held at the Venice Center for Peace with Justice and the Arts in California.

About the Author

3. You're welcome. I've been looking for this
since a member of DU reported on this, after having been there in person. Bugliosi said that he got C-Span Book TV to say that would cover it, so I've been scanning the weekly schedule since then. I'm so glad that they will air this. Jumping up and down in my seat!!!

15. Interesting show.
Bugliosi said that if nothing else comes of this book, he wants to put this uncertainty in the mind of George Bush, that one day he could be sitting in his ranch at Crawford or wherever, and an aide will come up and tap him on the shoulder and say, "Mr. President, a prosecutor in Duluth has just charged you with murder and you have to appear in two days".

Talked about the Downing Street memos and how while that is interesting, a more damning piece of evidence is the Manning Street memo, which revealed Bush talking about dressing up drones in the UN colors so that Sadam would shoot them down and thereby have an opportunity for war. Bugliosi said that if Bush really thought Sadam was a threat, why did he provoke him?

He said there has been a total media blackout of his book by all the usual sources. The first time that has happened in his publishing career. At the date of the presentation (couple months ago), it still managed to make it to number twelve on Amazon.

On a superficial note, the presentation must have been held in a sauna because Bugliosi kept wiping his face every twenty seconds and people in the audience were fanning themselves with whatever was available. It was like he was a preacher at a revival meeting in the Deep South.

Bugliosi's record of prosecution is 105 convictions out of 106 cases. Maybe if gets to be a prosecutor on this case, he can make it 106 out of 107.
