Idaho Stateman:
NEW POLL ON SENATE RACE
Idaho's Senate race is getting national attention from the Democratic blog Daily Kos, which is calling the race "shockingly wide open."
A nonpartisan poll by Research 2000 found Republican Lt. Gov. Jim Risch at 42 percent, Democrat Larry LaRocco at 32 percent, conservative independent Rex Rammell at 5 percent and 17 percent undecided. The margin of error was 4.5 percent.
A LaRocco poll in May showed Risch ahead by 15 percent.
A snippet from Daily Kos: "Now LaRocco has a long way to go, but with wealthy ber-wingnut Rex Rammell in the race, (LaRocco) doesn't need to get to 50 percent (which would be a tall order indeed). With essentially two well-funded Republicans in the race, LaRocco appears to have a real chance to slip in with a plurality of the vote."
I've chatted with Schumer a couple of times about the Senate races, and Idaho was never mentioned. Either this is an outlier, or the ground is crumbling under the entire Republican delegation...
