Update: 16 y.o. with broken back tazed 19 times
http://www.ky3.com/news/local/26158674.html

snip

Ozark police found Mace Hutchinson on July 19 underneath the Highway F overpass over U.S. 65. Mace’s family says he broke his back in a fall off the bridge. When he wouldn't move, police repeatedly used an electric stun gun on him.

Mace says he doesn’t remember much about that night and there are still several unanswered questions about how Mace ended up under the bridge. But what he is able to say is he believes there was no good reason why anyone in his situation would be stunned 19 times. He hopes the police officers are held accountable.

"There's no way that they had to Tase me that many times,” he said.

Mace spent his 17th birthday lying in a hospital bed.

He's out of the hospital, but probably won't be walking for a couple of months.

3. Firing a taser needs to be treated like firing any other weapon
meaning a ton of paperwork and an IA investigation as a matter of course.

We know these things can be fatal. Using one is always taking a chance.

Apparently calling an ambulance didn't occur to them at first.

9. That's going to be the only way..
Short of removing them from use by any police agency anywhere.

4. Get up.
He's having a seizure. Tase.

Get up.

His back is broken. Tase.

Get up.

He's deaf and legally blind. Tase.

Get up. Tase.

I think the police just want tasers for torture.

11. There's an old MILK & CHEESE comic that dealt with police brutality...
In addition to the excuses you just listed, M&C also contributed the following:

"He's on PCP!"
"You're controlling the situation, not us!"
"Kick him in the head! The head!"

There was also a sentiment that more racist, sexist, and homo-hostile Americans didn't have badges to go with their guns - and that this was a very good thing, indeed.

5. I'm going to point out, one more time.......
That this is all part of the march to fascism. Please note that physical abuse changes everything. Being afraid of speaking out, of marching, of fighting back, all comes from this kind of abuse. Please also note that there are usually videos, somewhere, of the fracas. All the better to intimidate you with, my dear.

8. Not a word of this has been seen on the cable news channels
Only three words were needed here - are you hurt? To think that tax payers provide the salaries for these goons.

I've always been told to watch out when passing through Ozark and not get pulled over. Now I believe it.
