1. Cause our candidate to waste time and resources on them and find something better to do on

election day, just like every election.

3. They damn well BETTER turn out! It's only a little more than 3 months
from now! I'm an old lady now, but for my whole life I've been hearing that same old sh*t! The youth voters always get all pumped up when they go to a campaign rally, but they NeVER turn on election day! Damn it! PROVE THEM DEAD WRONG THIS TIME!!!!!

4. The youth did vote in 2004 in record numbers.
51% of them voted. Trouble is everyone turned out in record numbers. I see much more enthusiasm for Obama than I ever saw for Kerry.

Just an little story about 2004. There was an Iowa girl who wanted to vote for the first time. She didn't get her absentee ballot. Monday night she and another girl hopped in their car in Boston and drove all night so they could vote.

5. The fact that they had to drive all night is pretty sad commentary on our broken system.
If she is a US citizen, she should be allowed to vote, period.

6. Nope... 48% voted 18-29 and then they ran away and in 2006, only 25% showed up.

7. If Bush wants to suppress the youth vote, he needs to legalize pot the day before the election. n/t
